Driver Policy

KYC, police verification, training, replacement driver cover, penalties and suspension rules.

This document is a draft template prepared for internal review. It must be examined, adapted and executed under the guidance of a qualified advocate practising in India, and stamped as required under the applicable State Stamp Act before it becomes binding.

1. Onboarding

  1. 1.1KYC: Aadhaar, PAN where available, driving licence, address proof, two references and a live photograph.
  2. 1.2Police verification is mandatory before vehicle allocation.
  3. 1.3Induction training covers EV handling, charging and swap discipline, safety, app usage and customer conduct.

2. Operations

  1. 2.1Replacement driver cover is arranged for planned leave; unplanned absence beyond 48 hours may trigger reallocation.
  2. 2.2Daily rental must be paid in advance; a grace window is defined in the Driver Agreement.

3. Penalties and suspension

  1. 3.1Late payment attracts the penalty stated in the Driver Agreement; repeated default leads to suspension.
  2. 3.2GPS tampering, sub-renting, driving under influence, or operating outside the permitted area result in immediate suspension and repossession.
  3. 3.3Suspension decisions are reviewable once, in writing, by the ops head.

4. General

  1. 4.1Governing law: the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the Dispute Resolution Policy.
  2. 4.2Notices shall be delivered by email to the addresses recorded in the Registration Form and by registered post for termination or settlement notices.
  3. 4.3No provision of this document creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship beyond what is expressly stated.
  4. 4.4If any clause is held unenforceable, the remainder survives unaffected.
  5. 4.5This document, together with the Registration Form and annexed schedules, constitutes the entire understanding between the parties.
